Indian cricketer and former captain Virat Kohli and his actor-producer wife, Anushka Sharma, have added another luxurious asset to their impressive real estate portfolio by purchasing a large plot in Alibaug. According to reports, the power couple has purchased a large plot in Alibaug, shelling out big bucks.
Virat and Anushka have purchased an impressive 5.1-acre plot of land for a whopping 37.86 crore, as per property registration documents reported by LiveMint.
In addition, the reports reveal that the land is located in Zirad village and was purchased from Sonali Amit Rajput, a director at Samira Land Assets Pvt. Ltd. Also, the reports suggest that the transaction covering two adjoining plots was registered on January 13, and CRE Matrix, a data analytics firm, confirmed this.
Also, the reports reveal that Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli, completed the formalities on his behalf, and stamp duty of approximately 2.27 crore was paid.
This is the second purchase by Virat and Anushka in Alibaug. In 2022, the couple bought 8 acres in two separate deals for a whopping 19.24 crore, and has since constructed a luxurious vacation home on that land.
There are several celebrities in the list who own properties in Alibaug, and the list includes Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh, and many others.
