Vivek Oberoi is one of the most amazing and phenomenal actors in the Hindi entertainment industry. The man is all set to complete 20 long years in the industry in the next year and so far, it has been an interesting career with a blend of success, failure and critical acclaim. All thanks to his ability to foresee things, Vivek entered the OTT space with Inside Edge at a time when nobody knew what the digital world had to offer.

He plays the role of Vikrant Dhawan who has always been a ‘power-hungry’ person when it comes to cricket administration and running the game in the show. Well, as far as cricket is concerned, there’s a lot happening in Indian cricket as well. Ever since Virat Kohli was removed from ODI captaincy, people have been divided in terms of opinion. What is Vivek Oberoi’s take on the same?

During an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, when asked about what he feels about Rohit Sharma’s appointment as ODI captain of India, he revealed,

“Well, I genuinely feel that cricketing decisions like these are best known to the ones who are running the game. In our country, it is never going to be possible to please every cricket fan as everyone has a thing or two to say about the game irrespective of their own skills. I feel adding unnecessary controversy only diverts the attention of our players from the game. Instead of talking negatively, we should always be there by their side and encourage them to do well on the field. As far as who should be captain and who should not be, these are big calls not taken overnight. I would suggest the fans to watch cricket only to enjoy the game and if at all you are keen to know about ‘politics’ in cricket, watch ‘Inside Edge’ (Chuckles)”
