Pramod Bhagat, a gold medallist at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, recently got a precious present from cricket star Sachin Tendulkar, and he thanked him on social media. Pramod Bhagat took to Twitter to express how his ‘adrenaline’ was pumping as he opened the gift delivered to him by his idol Sachin Tendulkar. Furthermore, the gold medalist in the Paralympics 2020 shuttler stated that the Master Blaster ‘stole’ his heart once more by handing him the jersey that Tendulkar wore in his 200th Test match for India in November 2013 at his home stadium, the Wankhede Stadium. Bhagat went on to say that he is at a loss for words to express his joy.

Pramod Bhagat published photos of his interaction with the ‘Master Blaster’ a few weeks ago, writing that his childhood desire of seeing his hero had ‘come true.’ He went on to say that Sachin Tendulkar’s remarks to him will not only stay with him forever but will also motivate him for the rest of his life. After meeting his hero, Bhagat also tweeted that he will have a “sleepless night.”

Pramod Bhagat won a gold medal in the Badminton Men’s Singles Class SL3 final at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 earlier this month. He defeated Daniel Bethell of the United Kingdom 21-14, 21-17 in a hard-fought encounter. The match began with a tense opening set, with world number one Bhagat against world number two Bethell. Both players went point for point, but just as Bethell began to gain a tiny advantage, Bhagat stepped up his game and raced to a seven-point lead (15-8). Bethell did not give up easily, though, and fought back a little, but Bhagat won the first set 21-14.

In the second set, the Britain got off to a flying start, jumping out to a 12-4 lead. Bethell was shooting aggressive strokes, which made it tough for Bhagat to get comfortable throughout the match. Bhagat, on the other hand, gradually re-entered the game, lowering the eight-point deficit to just one. The world No. 2 surged ahead by three points again, but Bhagat was not about to stay still and leveled the set at 15-15. And then, almost out of nowhere, Bhagat seized the lead and won the match 21-17 to take first place on the podium. As per Republic World.
