While Hardik Pandya, the captain of the newly-included Gujarat Titans, has been on fire recently, David Miller led the team to a fantastic victory on Sunday.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022’s third week has just ended, and we’ve already seen some thrilling performances.

Hardik Pandya, the newly inducted Gujarat Titans captain, had been on fire in the previous week, and David Miller led them to a stunning victory on Sunday.

HARDIK PANDYA

Hardik Pandya, the Gujarat Titans captain, has made significant contributions to his team, particularly with the bat, but the right-hander has had an outstanding week.

Pandya racked up a pair of undefeated fifties in a row. He hit 50* off 42 deliveries against SunRisers Hyderabad, then an undefeated 87 in 52 deliveries against Rajasthan Royals.

The Titans scored 162/7 against SRH but were defeated as SRH tracked down the target with five balls remaining. In four overs, Pandya responded with figures of 1/27.

However, his efforts against the Royals paid off well, as Gujarat defeated Rajasthan by 37 runs. Riding on Pandya’s heroic effort with the bat, Gujarat posted 192/4 and then restricted the Royals to 155/9. Pandya scalped a wicket for 18 runs in 2.3 overs.

☆ KL RAHUL

KL Rahul, the opener, is leading the Lucknow SuperGiants, one of the two new teams in the championship. The right-hander hit a half-century and a 40, with a few of noughts thrown in for good measure.

Rahul’s fans were expecting a knock of his caliber, and he didn’t disappoint.

During the match at Brabourne Stadium, KL faced the Mumbai Indians bowling attack and scored a century to assist his side record 199/4 in 20 overs.

Before the South African went for 24 runs, Rahul and his opening partner Quinton de Kock put on a 52-run stand for the first wicket. Manish Pandey joined the skipper, and the two began to dominate the MI bowlers once more.

Before Pandey was sent out for 38 off 29, the pair put up a 72-run partnership for the second wicket.

Rahul subsequently grabbed control of the situation and scored the remainder of the runs, eventually finishing undefeated on 103 off 60 balls. He hit five maximums and nine fours throughout his innings.

UMRAN MALIK

Umran Malik of the SunRisers Hyderabad pace attack was already gaining attention for his quick bowling, but he bowled a superb stint against Punjab Kings in Mumbai on Sunday.

Malik took four wickets against Punjab, three of which came in the final over as he finished with statistics of 4/28 in four overs.

SRH bowled out Punjab Kings for 151, with Malik taking four wickets and Bhuvneshwar Kumar three, and then chased down the mark by seven wickets to secure their fourth win.

Earlier in the week, the right-arm bowler had a good showing against Kolkata Knight Riders, picking up two wickets for 27 runs in four overs. His scalps included the prized wicket of KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer whom he cleaned up with an excellent yorker.
