Murali Sreeshankar is a very famous Indian Athlete competing in the long jump events. He has a national record of 8.26 meters which was set in the year 2021. On Tuesday at the Federation Cup games meet, he handled his ideal long hop—8.26m—to fit the bill for his first Olympics, in Tokyo. India never had a good record in jumping, but players like Murali have been making the country proud with his performances.

Meeting all requirements for the Tokyo Olympics turned into Sreeshankar’s objective since he broke the public record with 8.20m at the 2018 National Open Athletics Championships in Bhubaneshwar. As a 19-year-old wunderkind in Indian sports, that jump met the passing imprint for the 2019 big showdowns in Doha and pushed him towards a harder preparing routine.

Murali Sreeshankar also cleared a jump of 7.99 meters at the Federation Cup in Patiala and was named for the Commonwealth Games but due to his appendicitis diagnosis, he had to, unfortunately, pull out ten days prior. He participated in the Asian Junior Athletes championship in the year 2018 even though he was ill, and still managed to win the bronze medal with a jump of 7.47 meters. Besides jumping, he was also a good sprinter but he changed his field from sprinting to jumping at the age of 13.
