The game of cricket has evolved in many aspects in the past few years. Women’s cricket has been rising at a very fast rate and with that cricket, couples have come to light. There are a number of couples who have represented their teams at international and domestic levels.

Here are a few couples who have played for International teams:
1. Roger Prideaux and Ruth Westbrooke: Roger Prideaux played for England as an opening batsman in the late 1960s. He was married to Ruth Westbrooke. Ruth Westbrooke was a wicket-keeper and England won the 1993 World Cup under her captaincy.

2. Guy de Alwis and Rasanjali de Silva: Guy de Alwis represented the Sri Lankan national team in 11 Tests and 31 ODIs between 1983 and 1988. He married Sri Lanka’s women cricketer Rasanjali Silva.

3. Sir Richard Hadlee and Karen Ann Marsh: Sir Richard Hadlee is considered one of the best all-rounders of his era. He represented New Zealand internationally. He married Karen Ann Marsh.

4. Lea Tahuhu and Amy Satterthwaite: New Zealand’s cricketers Lea Tahuhu and Amy Satterthwaite got engaged in 2014 and married in March 2017. New Zealand relaxed the regulations on same-sex marriages in 2013.

5. Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp: The South-African cricketers tied the knot in 2018, July. Van Niekerk is the current captain of the South African Women Cricket Team.
