Many cricketers have hit 50 runs in matches since the IPL began in 2008, but only a few have managed to score the fastest fifties. In IPL history, Pat Cummins and KL Rahul share the record for the fastest 50. In 2022, Pat Cummins blasted 50 runs off 14 balls, but in 2018, KL Rahul smacked 51 runs off 14 balls. Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine shared the record until 2018 when they both scored 50 runs off 15 balls.

On April 6, against MI at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pat Cummins struck 50

runs off 14 deliveries. With four fours and six sixes, the Australian hitter finished with an unbeaten 56 runs off 15 balls.

In April 2018, Indian wicketkeeper and batsman KL Rahul blasted 51 runs off 14 balls against the Delhi Capitals. KL Rahul’s 132* is the best individual score by an Indian player in the IPL, adding to his accomplishment.

Yusuf Pathan, an all-rounder, hit 72 runs in 15 balls against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens on May 24, 2014.

Sunil Narine of the West Indies cricket team is ranked third. In May 2017, he scored 54 runs in 15 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

CSK lad Suresh Raina holds the record for the 4th fastest fifties against Punjab Kings in the match held on 30 May 2014 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The other record holders are Chris Gayle, Hardik Pandya, Keiron Pollard, and Adam Gilchrist among others. It is a proud fact that four Indians are at the top of this list.
