As it was supposed to be, the India vs Australia rivalry during the first test lived up to its expectations especially since it was India’s first test match after lockdown. Even though Australia trashed Indian batting line-up during the second innings, the overall test match was full of enthusiasm and moments that will be very memorable in the future.
Virat’s shocking runout – Virat Kohli is one of the best athletes in the world. He is a master of stealing impossible runs from the rivals. He lost his wicket after Ajinkya Rahane gave him a bad call and he was too late to return back into the crease. Given how he rarely falls short of his crease, it was a sad yet memorable moment for his fans and Indian audience.
Tim Paine drops Kohli’s wicket – Before Kohli got run out at the non-striker’s end, he was given a lifeline by Australian Captain, Tim Paine. During Nathan Lyon’s bowling, Kohli gave a slight edge of his bat to the passing ball and after the Aussies appealed to the umpire and he denied their appeal, Tim Paine shockingly denied to take the DRS. Since he was the one who took the catch as a keeper, it was a lucky moment for Virat and his fans.

Ravi Ashwin’s comeback – Ravichandran Ashwin is the senior-most player in the Indian bowling line-up. He took 4 wickets in the first innings and 1 in the second innings. He helped dismissed the dangerous Steve Smith.
