Sania Mirza is India’s one of most popular sports women who has inspired millions of girls to stand up for themselves and chase their dreams in sports quota. Sania Mirza is the former doubles World No.1. The power sportswoman is also the winner of several major tennis titles worldwide. Along with her sports career, she has often spoken about the prejudice and pressure she experienced while chasing her career.

In a throwback interview with Filmy Mirchi, where Kareena Kapoor Khan was the host, Sania Mirza appeared as a guest. Kareena Kapoor asked Sania Mirza, “The prejudice she has faced by people who say that Jyada sports khelogi to body ladko jaisi ho jayegi and all.” Agreeing with the question, Sania Mirza said, “Ohh, many times it has happened.” She recalled, “It’s a 25 years old story when I started my career in tennis, and for a girl to play tennis coming from Hyderabad was unheard of in different and many ways.” She further said, “People asked questions like Ab Kitna khelogi, Tomboy ban jaogi, Shadi Kon Karega, Kali ho jaogi, and many others.” Sania emphasized that these things are more cultural, like being fair and certain girly things. The episode also has other stuff related to Sania’s career, life, and goals.

While on the work front, Sania Mirza was rumored to get a divorce from her husband, Shoaib Malik. But it became false news as the couple announced their new show, The Mirza Malik Show.
