Mohit Raina was grown in Jammu and was born into a Kashmiri Brahmin household on August 14, 1982, to P.L. Raina and Sushma Kumara. He attended the Jammu Kendriya Vidyalaya School for his education, and the University of Jammu awarded him a bachelor's degree in commerce. He relocated to Mumbai to start a modeling career.
