A well-known Malayalam Mappilappattu and playback singer, Nisar Wayanad, died in Dubai on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Reportedly, the singer was hospitalized and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dubai. A native of Kambalakkad in Wayanad, the singer went to Dubai for a native event last month and was hospitalized after he fell ill. As per reports, Nisar was scheduled to perform in Saudi Arabia and Dubai in the coming days. The singer is survived by his wife and two daughters.
