Actor Abhishek Sharrma continues to win viewers’ attention with his portrayal of Devansh Singh Chauhan in the Zee TV show Vasudha, produced by Arvind Babbal Productions. As the story enters a more emotional phase, Abhishek says the upcoming episodes will show Dev dealing with one of the toughest conflicts of his journey. The character now finds himself caught between love and family loyalty, especially with the growing tension between Dev and Chandrika.
In the current storyline, Dev is in a tough spot because his personal feelings and respect for his family are at odds. Abhishek says that Dev doesn’t see the situation as picking one side over the other. Instead, he is trying to protect both relationships while staying true to what he believes is right.
Explaining Dev’s emotional state in the upcoming episodes, Abhishek shares, “Dev is someone who deeply values relationships. For him, both love and family are equally important. The conflict is not about choosing one over the other, but about finding a way to protect both. So, in the coming episodes, you’ll see Dev struggling emotionally because he respects his mother, Chandrika, a lot, and at the same time, he cannot ignore what his heart believes is right. Dev tries to balance this by staying calm, standing by his values, and hoping that truth and sincerity will eventually bring everyone together.”
Talking about portraying this internal conflict, he says, “As an actor, for me, these scenes are extremely layered and emotionally demanding. So, Dev is not rebelling against his mother out of anger. It comes from a space of pain and conviction. So, portraying that internal conflict, loving your mother but still standing firm for what you believe in, was very interesting. It was very exciting for me to perform as it has so many layers. It pushes you to explore subtle emotions rather than dramatic reactions, and that makes the performance very satisfying.”
Giving a glimpse of what viewers can expect, Abhishek says, “Without giving away too much, I can say that the conflict between Dev and Chandrika will get more intense. There are certain truths and misunderstandings that will come to light. Those revelations will change the dynamics within the family. With Dadi being introduced, that is another factor added to the ongoing drama. With the entry of Dadi, the story will take a different turn. Fans should definitely be ready for some emotionally powerful moments where relationships will be tested, and Dev will have to make some very difficult decisions, or he might not.”
