Purvi Mundada the talented actress who has been part of TV shows like Chandrakantha, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji and has starred as the leading lady in Vikram Bhatt’s web-series Faceless, is looking at web and films for the next few years.

Apart from that, Purvi has found for herself a new passion and probably a new expansion with respect to career. She has started penning down songs, and aims to do well for herself as a music composer in the coming time.  Purvi who has always had a music sense dug deep into this new passion of hers, and is on the verge of recording her first music video.

Says Purvi, “I am the kind of person who cannot sit idle. For me to be out of work was something really tough. I have always had a good knack at singing. I have a few singer friends who have always looked up to me for suggestions. My suggestions used to work for them. But I never took it seriously.”

Talking at length about her knack for composing songs, Purvi explains, “I have never trained in music. But I found out that it was somewhere there inside me. I learned that I have a good potential for writing songs. I explored more into it and did my own hard work. I wrote in a few days, my first song. I composed the song too by myself. This is how the journey started. One of my friends in Bollywood loved the song I composed. He was amazed to know that it came out of me who was not trained at all in music. This encouraged me to work harder on my newfound skill. I got myself a microphone, and a piano as well. I have started composing music, and have written a lot of songs. Right now,  I have a lot of them on board,” she adds.

“We are starting out with a music video with few big actors starring along with me. I will be the face of the song along with known faces from the industry.”

Purvi Mundada further explains that there are very few young women music composers in India. “This is a unique phenomenon. There are lakhs and lakhs of female singers, but there are only 4-5 young female music composers in India. This was when I felt that I need to come up strong, especially when I am not shooting. I have been training myself vocally too now.”

An amazing and inspiring story for many!!

Best of luck, Purvi!!
