Palak Jain the new entrant into the television industry has been doing well for herself in her first stint as actor in Zee TV’s popular show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. The show is produced by Ved Raj’s Shoonya Square.

A graduate in journalism and mass communication from Delhi, Palak is happy that she has traversed the journey from being behind the camera to facing the camera in quick time.

Says Palak, “There was a time when I used to take bytes of others being a media student. And after joining Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, when I gave my byte to a media person for the very first time, the feeling was surreal. I am glad that the journey from being behind the camera to coming in front of it has happened quickly. So yes, this is my first show as an actor.”

Palak always wanted to be an actor. Her interest in dance and to perform in theater has helped her big time. “I am very happy to be here on the set of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. When I gave my mock shoot with Nishant Malkani and Kanika Mann, I was so nervous. Post this the look test happened and when I got to know that I was selected, I was thrilled. It happened so fast.”

Palak as we know plays the aggressive and obsessive girl Alisha, who has come in as Antara (Dalljiet Kaur) and Akshat’s (Nishant Malkani) daughter. “I am very different from Alisha. I am very sensitive and emotional. I am very polite and do not have the traits of being aggressive like Alisha. Alisha’s overpowering nature is very unique and she has a lot of mixed emotions. I enjoy playing this role. As an actor the scope that I am getting with this role is amazing.”

“Being part of the show is a beautiful feeling. Everyone from the cast to crew is very supportive,” she adds.

Palak is a multi-talented girl. She is good at dancing, singing and even writes poems. “Acting has been on a high priority and now that I am into acting, my dream has come true. My aim is to play the role of Alisha in a very realistic way. I hope viewers will enjoy it.”

Palak is grateful to God, her family and to her uncle who is not with her today. “Everyone in my family has only prayed for my success. Today as I step into TV as an actor, I miss my Tauji who is not with us anymore.”

Best of luck, Palak!!
