As Christmas approaches, actress Harleen Reikhi, who is presently seen in the Colors TV show Binddii Dil Se Daring, Palki Malhotra and Saurav Tiwari’s Streetlamp & Beehive Collective LLP, in the role of Sudha Mami, is embracing the festive season with a sense of calm, reflection, and emotional warmth. For the actor, Christmas is not about grand parties or lavish celebrations but about slowing down, reconnecting with loved ones, and appreciating life’s quieter moments.
Sharing her love for Christmas films, Harleen says her favourite festive watch is The Noel Diary. The film, she explains, struck a deep emotional chord with her. “I really connected with the story because it’s gentle, emotional, and talks about healing, memories, and finding closure. It has a very calm, wintery feel that instantly puts me in a festive mood,” she shares. Harleen adds that movies like these remind her to pause and reflect amid hectic schedules. “They make me appreciate the little things in life, and that’s truly what Christmas means to me.”
When it comes to celebrating the festival this year, Harleen is choosing simplicity over extravagance. She plans to spend the day with her family, enjoying home-cooked food, watching movies, and having meaningful conversations. “I don’t want anything loud or over-the-top. I just want warmth, comfort, and happy conversations around me. For me, being present with my family and feeling grateful for the year gone by is the biggest celebration,” she says.
Asked about her wish from Santa Claus this year, Harleen’s response reflects her thoughtful and grounded outlook on life. Instead of material gifts, she hopes for good health, emotional peace, and clarity. “I wish the coming year brings exciting opportunities, personal growth, and happiness—not just for me, but for everyone,” she shares. Harleen also expresses a heartfelt hope for a kinder world. “If Santa can sprinkle a little more love, patience, and kindness around us, that would truly be the most meaningful gift.”
