Vaishali Arora, who plays the role of Riya in Star Plus and Rahul Tewary’s Udne Ki Aasha, feels that introducing new twists in the show not only makes the story interesting but also helps the character to evolve.

She said, “Sudden twists definitely make the character more exciting to play, but they also make it more demanding. Depending on what the twist is and where the character is at that point in her journey, it can require more intensity, focus, and emotional energy than usual.”

“For instance, Riya is generally an energetic person, so during crucial twists, her energy tends to rise even more,” she added.

Her approach to such scenes revolves around her character. She said, “I react according to what I think Riya would do, which keeps it authentic. The situations written for the character play a big role too—if the circumstances are interesting enough, it naturally makes the performance more engaging.”

Vaishali believes that it’s very important for actors to stay adaptable. She said, “And it’s not just in television, but in any kind of filmmaking or performance work. Sometimes, you’re shooting in harsh weather, remote locations, or on long night shifts for day scenes. It can be physically and mentally exhausting.”

“So, an actor has to be adaptable, not only professionally but also personally, to handle challenges, irregular timings, and anything happening in their personal life while still delivering their best performance,” she added.

Asked what kind of twists she personally enjoys, she said, “Emotional scenes. I don’t often get many opportunities to explore that side, but recently I had a scene with Sailee and Roshni where I playfully teased Roshni in a very straightforward way—it was fun and interesting.”

“Emotional scenes allow me to bring depth and intensity to Riya, and I really enjoy that. Of course, dramatic or shocking twists are exciting too, because they push the character to respond in new ways,” she added.

What next? “Viewers can expect some interesting family dynamics, engaging storylines, and perhaps a few characters who will leave a strong impression. Every couple’s journey is developing in their own way, and the twists and turns in the story will definitely keep audiences hooked.”

“For example, Akash and Riya will have their own special moments, Sachin and Sailee will continue to develop their unique bond, and Tejas and Roshni won’t be in the best space due to what has already happened. These shifts make the story more dynamic and keep the pace lively, which naturally affects our performance energy,” Vaishali ended.
