Shubhangi Latkar, who is seen in the Zee TV show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s banner Dreamiyata Entertainment, revealed that as an actor, she enjoys performing scenes with new twists and turns. She shared that it not only adds depth to the story but also intensifies the character.
She said, “As an actor, I truly enjoy and get excited when a show introduces new twists at crucial moments. These shifts instantly raise the pace and energy of my performance. They keep me alert, emotionally charged, and deeply connected to the scene.”
“When the narrative changes suddenly, it doesn’t allow you to become comfortable, and that’s actually very exciting as a performer,” she added.
She mentioned that the sudden turns definitely make the character more demanding, but in an enriching way. She added, “They add layers and unpredictability, pushing me to explore emotions I may not have touched before. Such moments challenge you to go beyond the obvious and bring more depth and honesty to the character.”
Shubhangi calls emotional scenes her forte and confessed that she enjoys performing them the most. She said, “They allow me to dive deep into the character’s psyche and connect strongly with the audience. Emotional shifts, when performed truthfully, stay with viewers for a long time.”
When such scenes are introduced, she first understands the emotional truth of the moment. She said, “I focus on what my character is feeling internally, even if the external situation changes drastically. Staying grounded in that emotional core helps the performance remain authentic.”
With a daily soap introducing new twists now and then, she feels adaptability is extremely important for actors. She said, “Television moves at a rapid pace, and as actors we must be flexible—mentally, emotionally, and creatively. The more adaptable you are, the more organically you can respond to the story’s evolution.”
Without giving away any spoilers, she shared that the upcoming track will be very engaging and intense. “Viewers can expect strong emotions, surprising turns, and romantic moments! It’s a phase where every character will be tested, and that’s what makes it truly exciting to watch,” Shubhangi ended.
