Udne Ki Aasha, the popular Star Plus and Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s show, recently completed two successful years. Actor Tanvi Shewale, who plays the character of Roshni, talks about her overwhelming journey with the show and also about the achievement.

Tanvi shares that she never expected anything; she wanted to give her best. Interestingly, her association with the show happened almost by chance. Tanvi reveals that she had auditioned for the role long before she actually joined Udne Ki Aasha. At that time, she had already been offered another show and assumed she wouldn’t be doing Udne Ki Aasha. However, fate had other plans. “A month later, the team called again, asking if I was available. On the same day, I had just heard that the other project I signed had been scrapped. Within an hour or two, I got the call for this show, and I said yes,” she recalls. What convinced her instantly was the character of Roshni, which she describes as layered and very different from what she had done earlier.

Tanvi believes the show’s success lies in its storytelling and the variety of characters. According to her, “Every character in the narrative carries a different perspective, which helps viewers relate to the story in their own way. Whether it was the Sachin–Sayali Punjab track or the current developments in my character’s storyline or everyone else’s characters, these new angles keep the story fresh and exciting,” she explains.

The actor also credits producer Rahul Kumar Tewary for creating a warm and encouraging work environment on set. “He always appreciates our work and that recognition really encourages us to give our best,” she says.

Off-screen too, Tanvi has been experiencing the growing popularity of the show. She recently had a memorable fan moment during a trip to Jaisalmer when a group of women recognised her as Roshni and gave great feedback on her performance.

For Tanvi, the heart of Udne Ki Aasha lies in its simple yet powerful message about dreams and aspirations. “Everyone wants to achieve something in life. Sometimes even small achievements bring the biggest happiness. I think that’s what people connect with in our show,” she adds.
