As the emotional drama in Star Plus‘ Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera continues to captivate viewers, Malti, played by Shruti Gholap, has emerged as one of the strongest pillars in Aparajita’s life. In the recent episodes, Malti has unexpectedly found herself supporting Rakshit, believing that his love for Aparajita is genuine and selfless. Speaking about the evolving storyline, Shruti shared why this partnership makes perfect sense, what convinced Malti that Rakshit is the right person for her daughter, and why fans should brace themselves for many more twists.
Talking about Malti joining hands with Rakshit to bring him closer to Aparajita, Shruti admitted that the development surprised her as an actor. “As an actor, it came as a complete surprise to me because I wasn’t expecting that twist at all. But once Lalit’s track unfolded, I could understand why this companionship was necessary. Rakshit openly confessed his love in front of everyone, and as a mother, if you see someone genuinely loving your daughter, you naturally want her to find that happiness. Their journey needed someone to help bring them together, and Malti became that person. It was definitely an unexpected twist, but a very pleasant one to portray.”
Explaining why Malti has developed complete faith in Rakshit, Shruti said his actions spoke louder than words. “What truly convinced Malti was Rakshit’s actions. Even during the life-threatening situation with Lalit, he never thought about himself and stood by Aparajita without hesitation. I believe every relationship is tested during difficult times. If someone stays with you despite the risks, it proves the relationship is genuine. There is no selfish motive or personal gain involved. As a mother, Malti witnessed that sincerity firsthand, and for any mother, her daughter’s happiness and safety will always come first. Rakshit earned her trust through his actions again and again.”
While fans are hoping Malti will successfully play cupid, Shruti says the story still has plenty of surprises left. “Honestly, I don’t know what happens beyond the next couple of episodes because we haven’t received those updates yet. But looking at how the story has progressed so far, I feel viewers can expect several interesting twists rather than just one. They should definitely stay tuned because there are many surprises ahead.”
Sharing one of her favourite memories from the sets, Shruti recalled her first sequence with Rakshit and spoke warmly about her bond with the lead actors. “One of my favourite scenes was my very first one with Rakshit, where he accidentally entered Sharma house, and I had cleaned his feet. We had so much fun filming it because Rakshit is a very fun-loving person and keeps the atmosphere light. As for Appu, we’ve been shooting together since day one, so we’ve built a wonderful understanding. Working together feels effortless, and that comfort reflects in our scenes.”
Without revealing major spoilers, Shruti teased that viewers will have to be patient before Aparajita and Rakshit’s love story reaches its destination. “I know everyone is eagerly waiting to see Aparajita and Rakshit get married because audiences love watching them together. But if there are no twists in a daily soap, where’s the excitement? As they say, the fruit of patience is always sweeter. I can assure everyone that LSD Productions has many exciting twists planned. Every morning, I come to the set excited to discover what Malti will be doing next, and that’s the biggest joy for an actor.”
