Nach Baliye 9 contestant Aly Goni seems to be having a decent equation with his ex, Natasa Stankovic (Serbian model), unlike the always-at-each-other’s-throats, just-eliminated exes Jodi of Madhurima Tuli and Vishal Aditya Singh.
“We are good friends and will remain the same, nothing more,” was his reply, when we asked him whether their bonding on the show will possibly get them close again.
Sensing that this Kashmiri man of few words was not comfortable talking about what went wrong between him and Natasa, we changed track and moved to dance.
Self-confessed bad shaker of his legs, Aly says, “I just follow the choreographer’s leads. I don’t even know the names of the various dance forms.”
“We just believe in putting in our best. If we have had a bad outing, which is bound to happen, we just let it be and move on. No sense in crying over spilt milk, right?”
“So far, we have had a good run and it’s been fun and yet very taxing for the body. But we feel the effort is worth it when fans like our grooves. So thank you guys for the love, and keep voting.”
As the competition is really heating up, politically correct Aly refuses to name one jodi that can really give them a run for their money. “All are very good and tough to beat as well.”
Aly, who is a reality show discovery of Splitsvilla 5, says, “The best part of this format is that the public gets to know the real you.”
He was also a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
But it is said that a reality show requires other attributes beyond talents? “No one is putting a gun to your head to do anything. If you feel confident in your skin, there is no need to pull stunts to get noticed. I am as real as you get.”
You keep seeing his fun side in Khatra Khatra Khatra as well.
In closing, Aly, who has worked a lot with Balaji (Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Dil Hi Toh Hai and Naagin 3), thanks Ekta for giving him a chance to prove his skills.
“I might return to fiction if something juicy comes along. Though right now, I am only focussed on Nach.”
