Capt. Chahat Dalal who recently made history in McAllen, Texas, when she was crowned at the International Pageant as Mrs Galaxy 2023, is patriotic to the core. When she was received at the airport, she was spotted holding aloft the Indian National flag. Which freedom fighter’s efforts have inspired you always?
For me, it’s always been Bhagat Singh. His zeal and passion for freedom were inspiring. He did say they can kill me but they can’t kill my ideas, and that truly did live on.
The correlation of independence in day-to-day life for you will be:
Independence for me is having the right and choice to do what I want to without having to seek approval or permission.
What are the areas where you think we as individuals can strive hard to make the place that we live in better?
We need to be more accepting of opinions that don’t sync with ours. We are all different and that’s what makes it beautiful. Having different thought processes is imperative for progress.
What is the inspiring slogan that you follow that is related to freedom and independence of thoughts?
“Freedom of mind is real freedom. A person whose mind is not free though he may not be in chains is a slave, not a free man. One whose mind is not free, though he may not be in prison, is a prisoner and not a free man. One whose mind is not free though alive is no better than dead.
