It’s been 75 years since India got its Independence. It is again the nostalgic time of the year when we remember our great freedom fighters who laid down their lives to see our country getting freedom. On the occasion of Independence Day, we have Akanksha Juneja the elegant and extremely beautiful actress who has been making heads turn with her negative portrayal in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, the Star Plus show, sharing her thoughts on Independent India.
Says Akanksha, “Independence means freedom, and freedom means responsibility. Basically, it is our responsibility to choose between right and wrong, and making the right choice.”
Ask her about her patriotic fervour, and the actress says, “I am very patriotic in being vocal about the welfare of our country. I try and guide people towards the right path. I also try and follow as much as I can, whatever is in favour of the country.”
“Mere Desh Ki Dharti Sona Ugle is my favourite patriotic song. I also like Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge. My favourite freedom fighter is Bhagat Singh,” she adds.
Akanksha appreciates the dedication that Sonu Sood has. “Sonu Sood has impressed me a lot with his work towards society during the pandemic.”
