Tina Datta, the young and talented beauty, who rose to fame with her sweet and demure role Iccha in Uttaran, is back on screen with a modern avatar. The actress is currently seen playing the role of Surili in Sony Entertainment Television’s captivating story ‘Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum.’ The show follows the journeys of Damayanti, the principled traditionalist matriarch of the royal Barot family based in Ranak and Surilii, a vibrant and modern-thinking young girl.

Talking about the show, Tina said, “The vibe, look, and feel of the show is different from other shows. It is not a kitchen saga or supernatural drama. Two different worlds are being showcased in the show. While on one side, it is royal life, and on the other, the city life. The sets are also very beautiful, so the show is a delight to the eyes. The trailer and promo have already received so much love that I am excited to see how people react to the show. I knew I had to do this the day I narrated the story and got a brief about my character. I look forward to this journey with Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum.”

Further elaborating on the role, she added, “Surili is a strong-minded and sensible girl next door. She has always had to deal with life independently because she was raised without parents, making her even stronger. Despite all hardship, she smiles and lives life to the fullest, which eventually attracts Shivendra towards her. It has been a great experience till now playing such a compelling character.”

When asked about her look in the show, Tina said, “Surili is today’s girl. She will be seen in modern clothes. You often see me wearing oversized t-shirts and shirts teamed with baggy pants. It is so like me that I feel relatable to the character.”

Tina has worked in both TV and OTT, talking about the comparison, she mentioned, “Every platform has its own niche. It is different from the other, so we cannot compare. I feel daily soaps target mass audiences. I am glad to connect and entertain my audiences via all platforms.”
