Soniyaa Kaur, who was last seen in Star Plus’ Jhanak, and will now be seen in the newly launched Zee TV show Lakshmi Nivas, produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, is excited this Lohri. Being a Sardaarni, Soniyaa has pride in celebrating the festival in her own simple way. As we know, Lohri holds a multi-dimensional significance as a harvest, cultural and spiritual festival, mainly in North India. Food, being the cornerstone of this festival, Lohri is known for the amazing delicacies made for the festival.

Soniyaa says, “Lohri has always been special for me. When we get together as a family for Lohri, the best aspect of the festival is that we get to spend time with our family. We take pheres around the bonfire and indulge in prayers.”

“My mother makes all the best delicacies. She decorates our house beautifully. We, girls of the house, dress up splendidly as though we are going to a wedding,” she continues to say.

About her plans for Lohri this year, Soniyaa states, “This year, I am there on the set of Lakshmi Nivas on Lohri. I am certainly missing Lohri, but it makes me equally happy that I am working on the day of Lohri. This is a blessed gift, this Lohri. But yes, I am missing my family, and I send them my love.”

Here’s wishing all our readers a Happy Lohri!!
