Paridhi Sharma, who is soon making her Bollywood debut with Haq alongside Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, is known for her grace and strong on-screen presence and carries the same authenticity into her off-screen life. Deeply loved by her fans for her honesty and humility, the actress believes that her truest connection with them comes not from constant interaction, but from sincerity in her craft.

“The only thing I truly do is keep an immense sense of gratitude towards my fans,” Paridhi shares. “To be very honest, I don’t do anything extra to maintain a personal relationship, because it’s not about that. They are fans because they admire your work — the connection point is your acting. So for me, the most important thing is to be honest in my work. If I am sincere and true to my craft, I’ll receive their love and appreciation — and that’s more than enough for me.”

The actress, who has inspired audiences with her performances over the years, also feels a deep sense of responsibility towards the people who look up to her. “If, through my work, I have some influence on their lives, then I feel responsible to evolve — to speak with honesty and share experiences that might motivate or inspire them. If that brings even a little positivity to someone’s life, that’s a huge blessing,” she adds.

Talking about the love she receives, Paridhi expresses immense gratitude but also a strong sense of balance. “It’s truly a blessing when people want to meet you, take pictures, or express their love. Of course, at public events it’s not always possible to click selfies with everyone, but I try to strike a balance. Overall, I’m very comfortable with this new selfie culture — I actually find it quite endearing,” she smiles.

She also admits there’s a funny reason behind her preference for selfies over autographs. “My handwriting is absolutely terrible! It used to make me nervous because when someone who admires you asks for an autograph, and you give them something that looks unreadable — it’s embarrassing. So I’m much happier with selfies now — at least my face looks better than my handwriting!”

Despite all the love and adulation, the actress is clear about one thing — not getting trapped by public validation. “I feel deeply grateful and humbled by all the love that fans shower upon me. But I’m careful not to fall into the trap of seeking validation. I want to remain a free-spirited person — someone who can speak her truth, express her opinions freely, and live authentically. I never want to become a slave to validation. That balance, I believe, is absolutely essential.”
