Akshita Mudgal, who plays the lead role of Radhika in Zee TV’s Lakshmi Niwas, is enthusiastic about her wellness routine and balances the shoot requirements with a well-planned yoga practice. This International Yoga Day, Akshita reveals her effective methods for staying fit through the practice of Yoga.

For Akshita, learning how to manage the relentless pace of a daily shoot was one of the most vital lessons of her career. “As actors, our schedules can be extremely demanding, with long shooting hours and constant pressure to stay focused and energised,” Akshita shares candidly. “Yoga has become my absolute go-to practice whenever I need to reset and recharge.”

Yoga isn’t just about physical flexibility or intense workouts for Akshita; it is a therapeutic ritual that aligns her internal state before she steps into the shoes of a character. “It helps me calm my mind, release stress, and stay entirely centred no matter how hectic the day gets,” she explains.

Akshita uses brief moments of stretching and breath control to recalibrate. “What I love most about yoga is that it creates a genuine sense of balance between the body and mind.”

As International Yoga Day inspires people worldwide to rethink their fitness habits, Akshita wants to dismantle the myth that wellness requires an empty schedule. Her advice to busy individuals is simple: start small. “On International Yoga Day, I hope more people discover how even a few minutes of yoga can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives,” Akshita concludes warmly. “You don’t need a perfect environment or an hour of free time. Just show up for yourself for five to ten minutes—it can completely transform how you process your day.”

A huge shoutout to body wellness, this International Yoga Day!!
