Ishankk Salluja, who plays the role of Avinash Singh Chauhan in Zee TV‘s Vasudha, produced by Arvind Babbal Productions, is a dedicated brother who has now achieved the impossible feat of getting his brother Devansh Singh Chauhan (Abhishek Sharrma) married to Vasudha (Priya Thakur) secretively.
Vasudha is the very first show for Ishankk, and he is happy that the makers have created a good graph for his character, who was initially shown to be a carefree, flirtatious guy.
The present wedding track had Avinash in full control, as he was the master planner, executing every tough move and getting his brother married by hook or crook to Vasudha.
Says Ishankk, “Avinash wanted his brother Dev to marry Vasudha. He went to great lengths to make it happen. It was not expected of Dev and Avinash to do such a big act without their parents’ consent. But this time, Dev’s life was in danger, and Avinash had to do it for his safety.”
In the story plot, Avinash has a close bond with his brother and has a very cute bond of friendship with Vasudha. Off the screen, their bonds are pretty similar too. Says Ishankk, “Abhishek, Priya, and I are a trio on the set. Priya is my best friend off-screen, and our rapport is felt by all onscreen, too. I call Abhishek ‘Dada’ even off the screen. He is like my elder brother. So we three share a similar bond as you see on screen.”
Talking about himself, Ishankk says, “Avinash and Ishankk are similar, the only exception being that Avi was behind girls initially. But with time, Avi’s character has had a beautiful graph of reformation. I get emotional when I read about the immense love we receive for our characters and show.”
Talking about the USP of Vasudha, Ishankk avers, “Our story plot makes it clear that there are certain boundaries that need to be respected by individuals in a family. If you see, only Avinash does not follow these strict rules in the Chauhan house.”
Ishankk did not expect this immensely satisfying result when he signed up for Vasudha. “Vasudha is my very first show. My idea was to gain experience. I did not expect much when I started. When the show began, Avinash was a drunkard and a flirt. I am happy that my character is liked by one and all. Now, Avinash’s character stands at a very different trajectory; he is happy in his marriage, is a dedicated son and brother. All thanks to the fans for loving and accepting me in Vasudha.”
