Actress Pariva Pranati who plays the role of Vandana Wagle in Sony SAB and Hats Off Productions’ Wagle Ki Duniya Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, is upbeat as she shares insights on her mother’s resilience when it comes to handling her responsibilities in life. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Pariva talks us through the thought that every mother does her best, every single day.
Says Pariva about her mother’s attributes, “Her patience and resilience have been the best. No matter what life threw at her, she handled it with so much grace and calm. I have always admired how she never let chaos show on the outside and she just quietly did what had to be done, without fuss. That strength has inspired me in so many ways, especially now as a mother myself.”
Talking about her bond with her son, Pariva states, “My son and I share a fun, open bond. I try to be the kind of mom who he can talk to about anything, like a friend, but with just enough boundaries. We laugh a lot, we have our silly moments, and I always try to create a space where he feels heard and understood. I learn from him constantly. I feel kids really have a way of showing you what truly matters.”
On the golden advice got from her mother, the actress avers, “My mom always told me, “No matter how hard life gets, never stop being kind.” That has stayed with me forever. And I try to pass that on to my son. Kindness and empathy — these are qualities that truly make you strong. I keep reminding him that being a good human being matters more than anything else.”
Talking about Wagle Ki Duniya inculcating many family values in the minds of audiences, Pariva explains, “I feel incredibly proud to be part of a show that’s so rooted in reality and emotion. Wagle Ki Duniya speaks to everyday families about their challenges, their joys, and their moral dilemmas and does it with so much heart. One of my favourite tracks was when Vandana has had tough conversations about societal topics, and taboos with her kids. It was done so sensitively, and the message really resonated with a lot of people. I think our show is a beautiful reminder of how simple conversations within a family can have a lasting impact.”
