Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, the very popular Star Plus afternoon show won hearts of millions of audiences for its interesting realistic drama.
This evergreen love story that started between the ‘bhabhi’ and ‘devar’ went on to be a household name. The lead actors of the show, Husein Kuwajerwala and Juhi Parmar in the roles of Sumit and Kumkum made for a great Jodi with the show reaching heights of popularity.
The show which launched on July 15 2002 lived up to the viewers’ expectations and ran successfully for 7 years, and ultimately closed down on 13 March, 2009.
Well, yesterday was the day when the last shot of this popular show was taken. And actress Juhi Parmar who gained name and fame in the role of Kumkum took to social media, and recollected the golden days of shooting for the show.
On insta Juhi said, “The journey that ended 10 years ago continues to live on till date.. I still hear whispers of Kumkum when I am out and so many yet recognize me by the name. An extension of myself, life today looking back seems incomplete without Kumkum.”
