Hiten Tejwani is a seasoned campaigner and handles any complex role with ease. He plays the role of Nitin Jaiswal, the father of the male lead, Rishank Jaiswal in Colors‘ newly launched show Meri Bhavya Life. Produced by Sphere Origins, the show talks about how one should judge a girl not only by her looks but by her talent and inner beauty.

Says Hiten on his role, “I play Nitin Jaiswal, a self-made man. He has a huge saree business and has worked hard to take his business to great heights. He is proud of the fact that he has attained success on his own. He wants his legacy to be carried forward by his son. But what hits him hard is his son’s disinterest in his business.”

Ask him about how his character visualises the suitor needed for his son Rishank, and Hiten explains, “Nitin wants the girl to bring stability in the house and Rishank’s life. He wants his son to get a girl who will urge Rishank to carry the legacy of his father forward. He wants a girl who will instil new values in Rishank’s life. Nitin is a person who does not believe in looks but values the beauty of a person based on qualities. He wants the girl to make Rishank understand all of this and show him the right path.”

Talking about the concept of Meri Bhavya Life, Hiten states, “The concept of the show is brilliant. Whoever believes that looks are important, somebody has to make them understand that qualities stand out more than looks. Looking good inside out is what matters. Meri Bhavya Life gives that important message out to the audience.”

On the concept of the show throwing out a lot of questions to the public, Hiten states, “Yes, that is the idea of the show. The public needs to understand that only looks are not important. One has to understand a person inside out and know about the qualities of a person and this is the right way of appreciation.”

On the expectations lingering on the show, the actor quips, “I am coming back to Colors after a hiatus. This is a lovely concept. Sphere Origins always comes up with brilliant and novel ideas, and Meri Bhavya Life is one such. The show will certainly educate the masses.”
