Swati Kapoor, who has earlier been part of successful shows like Mastaangi, Kaali – Ek Agnipareeksha, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Udaan, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji, is currently enthralling audience as vivacious Mahira in Zee TV’s popular show Kundali Bhagya.
The actress was also part of ZEE5 web series ‘Phone-a-Friend’, a quirky, sci-fi, romantic web series, Written & Directed by Allyson Patel & Yash Dave. The movie is featuring Akhlaque Khan, Mantra along with Swati in lead roles.
In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Swati spoke about her show Kundali Bhagya, web series and more…
How was your experience working on the series?
I was working with friends, both the directors – Allyson and Yash. My co-actor Akhlaque is also my friend so the overall experience was fabulous.
What is different about Phone-a-Friend and why should people watch?
The phone is talking, isn’t it a good point to make it different? Well, it is an amazing series and we have put in a lot of hard work so I hope the audience enjoys the series.
What kind of web show do you like to watch?
I like watching all kinds of web shows. However, I don’t prefer watching horror. I Just finished watching The Games Of Throne, I know I am late but better late than never.
What were the challenges during the journey?
I guess the only challenge was to get the sound right as we were trying to shoot in sync sound, but we were not shooting in studios, so the locations were pretty noisy. Because of that, we had to redo a single shot couple of times.
How has been your journey in TV show Kundali Bhagya?
My journey as Mahira in Kundali Bhagya is awesome, I have loved every bit of it and have got such good scenes to preform, what else an actor wants. Apart from that, the team is so supportive and encouraging, lucky to be a part of them.
Do you miss the shooting now during lockdown?
Of course, I want to be on the set right now!
Who is favourite co-star on Kundali Bhagya set?
I have many of them. Dheeraj, Supriya ma’am, Usha ma’am, Neemal ma’am, Abhisekh, Sanjay and Anjum. They are a bunch of amazing people.
What are you doing during quarantine?
I am cleaning, washing, cooking, reading, writing, meditating, painting, watching shows/movies/series, so much to do during free time.

I would request everyone to be home and take proper precautions. Be with your loved ones and be happy!
