Mansi Srivastava, who plays the role of Revati in Zee TV’s Lakshmi Niwas, produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, recently reconnected with actress Dishi Duggal after their stint in Ishqbaaaz. Senior actress Dishi has entered the show as Revati’s mother, Sarla.

Mansi had a few emotional sequences to shoot with her onscreen mother and talks about her dilemma. “We had to shoot a good emotional sequence with my mother as our first scene together. I was praying that I would get to shoot with a known actress. And I was thrilled to see Dishiji in the role. We hit a good chord when we were shooting together for Ishqbaaaz. She is a sweet person, and our vibes exactly match. To tell the truth, I will say that our vibes reconnected after a while. If you see our scene, you will see that our emotions automatically flowed in the scene.”

Mansi is happy to have been appreciated for her emotional scenes before the entry of her mother and also with her mother. “My dad told me that he had tears in his eyes while watching the scene. That’s the biggest compliment that I have ever got. All the directors from our units appreciated the scene.”

She goes on to say, “It’s overwhelming to play Revati. She is down-to-earth, well-balanced, and respects elders. Revati’s mother is not well-to-do and works in people’s houses for a living.”

“Revati is happy to be where she is. She has a good family. People say the grass is greener on the other side. But grass is green where you water it. So Revati is doing that; she is watering her own grass and making it green.”
