Aafreen Dabestani who plays the intriguing character of Mia in Sony TV and Balaji Telefilms’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season is having a whale of a time in her character.
Says Aafreen about her character, “I have played bold and complex characters in the past. But with Mia, she has this quiet persona about herself. She is like the calm before the storm. She has entered the show and seems quite simple as of now. But she brings with her a twist that nobody would have expected. Her presence will shake up the whole story plot, is what I can say as of now. I am having the time of my life being part of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season. I have always enjoyed working with Balaji Telefilms.”
Ask her whether she has watched the cult show in its previous seasons, and she says, “I don’t watch much TV unless I am required to see and observe a certain show and happenings. Having said this, I am honoured to be a part of such a big show like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season.”
We try as much to get her talking about her character and she says just this. “As of now, I cannot divulge much about the character. You will have to see it and enjoy it as it comes. All I can say is that Mia is going to stir the pot; it is just a matter of time. I don’t want to spoil the fun.”
The attribute she likes in Mia is that, “I love the kind of power she holds. There is a mystery around her, she is a layered chaacter, she is not all that she seems to be.”
Talking about working with Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi, she states, “It is fun to be around both Harshad and Shivangi. They are very understanding of others around them. Shivangi is sweet, and takes good care of people around her.”
To the lingering question of whether Mia loves Rishabh or if is there more to come, Aafreen says, “I want that burning question to burn even more. This will be the drama ahead.”
