We have seen celebrities from all walks of life standing united as India faces the ordeal of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. BCCI announced the suspension of the ongoing IPL 2025 amid the tense ambience, which has been accepted whole-heartedly even by cricket lovers across the country. Of course, cricket is a religion in India, but when it comes to the well-being of the country, that gets the utmost priority. Actor Gourav Sharma who debuted on television with Star Plus’ show Do Dooni Pyaar places the country above everything else.
On the suspension of the ongoing tournament, Gourav says, “India comes first. And right now, nothing else is more important than our country, and the lives of our people. I stand with our Government.”
Otherwise, Gourav who is a huge cricket buff supported Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL season. “I am a big fan of SRK, so I have to support KKR. But I liked the team and gameplan of Punjab Kings too this year. Shreyas Iyer is a great captain and led his team well.”
Gourav when asked about the underwhelming players in this season, says, “MS Dhoni and Quinton de Kock could have played better.”
The actor is happy that a lot of young cricketers in India got the scope to perform and did well too. “Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been impressive.”
Gourav would have wanted to see the finals between, RCB and Punjab Kings.
We reiterate that we as citizens of India hold the big responsibility of staying united and praying for our soldiers.
