Aishwarya Sharma is the perfect example of beauty with brains!! From being a classical dancer to pursuing engineering, Aishwarya followed her dream of becoming an actor with the support she got from her family.
Meri Durga was her debut show on TV. She later followed it up with the web-series Madhuri Talkies. Her portrayal of Patralekha aka Pakhi in the Star Plus show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin produced by Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment has been effective and entertaining.
In a candid chat with Aishwarya Sharma, she talks of her new show and role.
Excerpts:
You have a stunning look in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. What were your inputs to keep it simple yet bring out the beauty in you?
As Aishwarya, I believe in being real as much as I can. But when in character, we have to put in efforts to our makeup and hair to look good. So talking about the stunning look in the show, honestly I want to thank to my creative director Siddharth Vankar because he decides which costume or makeup or hairstyle look good on me. I am getting a great response for my look.
What is your take on love triangles?
(laughs) A love triangle problem has never happened with me in real life. But I just feel that if two people love each other they should be together in any circumstance.
The show has very good senior actors. How have you modelled yourself to match them?
Yes my show has so many senior actors and tremendous performers. I am really honored and blessed that I got this opportunity to work with them. And before any scene, we do rehearsals and discuss our thoughts with each other so that the understanding between co-actors is good. I am working with co-operative actors, so the magic automatically happens in scenes.
Tell us about your character. How would you describe her?
Pakhi is more understanding, mature, and a loving personality. She is a blogger, loves to travel and enjoys photography. And she can sacrifice anything for her love.
The love chemistry of Virat and Pakhi though short lived came out well. How was the response you got?
I totally agree. Virat and Pakhi’s chemistry was something else. I am getting amazing responses. People just wanted us to get married in the show. I am getting so many messages about Virat and Pakhi being made for each other. We have done a great job and I am proud of it. That’s what an actor wants. And I have to say that Neil is an amazing performer; he makes me feel comfortable while doing the scenes and that’s what every actor should do.
How is it to work with the cast?
Awesome experience it is. As I said all the actors are very understanding, co-operative and funny. We all have lots and lots of fun on set.
What are your expectations from the role?
I don’t expect anything. I am just doing what Pakhi thinks, and how Pakhi will act or react to circumstances she faces. With every passing day, I am getting to know more about this character and it’s really interesting and totally different to what I am in real life. Above all, the numbers are really good. So we are in a happy zone, eager to put in more efforts.
