National Parents’ Day is an important occasion that acknowledges the significant impact parents have on their children’s lives. It emphasises the strength and unconditional love that mothers and fathers demonstrate through their everyday actions, words, and numerous sacrifices. Parents play a crucial role as the foundation of our early memories, offering stability and comfort. Additionally, they contribute to shaping our future selves through their guidance and support. Today, we have actress Mohak Matkar, the lead face of Zee TV’s show Saru, talking about her parents’ contribution to making her life a meaningful one.
Mohak Matkar says, “For me, everything began in our small living room where I would perform scenes from movies in front of my parents. That was my first stage, and they were my first audience. Their encouragement, their honesty, even when they thought I could do better, helped shape my journey as an actor.”
Recollecting a vivid memory, Mohak says, “One memory that lives rent-free in my heart is our Ganpati celebration. That time of year brings our entire family together, laughter, music, Modaks made by my mom, and the house filled with joy. As a kid, I used to sneak extra Modaks when no one was watching! This Parents’ Day, I just want to sit with them, watch a movie, eat a good home-cooked meal, and talk about nothing fancy, just us.”
