Sonakshi Batra, who plays the titular role in Zee TV’s popular show Jagadhatri, produced by Rahul Tewary Productions, is happy that the show has completed 100 episodes. She calls it a big achievement and confesses that the show has pushed her out of her comfort zone; however, seeing the audience’s positive feedback has been quite fulfilling for her.
She said, “Reaching 100 episodes feels incredibly special and deeply rewarding. For me, it represents months of hard work, discipline, and emotional investment. Playing Jagadhatri has pushed me physically and emotionally in ways I hadn’t experienced before, and seeing the audience embrace the show and my portrayal makes every challenge worth it. It feels like a shared victory for the entire team and everyone who believes in the story.”
She mentioned that Jagadhatri’s journey has been layered and transformative. She said, “The most challenging part has been portraying two extremes—someone who is brave and fearless on duty, yet sensitive and emotional with her family.”
“The physically demanding fight sequences combined with emotionally intense moments required me to constantly balance strength with vulnerability. That balance has been challenging but also the most rewarding aspect, because it truly defines who she is,” she added.
Sonakshi feels the audience has been able to connect with the show because the story and performances have always been honest. She said, “Every actor stays true to their character, and each storyline is portrayed with sincerity, which helps viewers feel more connected. Audiences relate to Jagadhatri’s strength, determination, and emotional journey.”
“Another important factor has been the chemistry between the characters, especially the dynamic I share with Farman Haider, which viewers have warmly embraced,” she added.
She calls the cast and crew her family and averred, “We spend long hours together, support one another through demanding schedules, and celebrate every milestone as a team. There’s mutual respect and warmth among everyone—from actors to technicians—which creates a very positive working environment. That comfort and trust naturally reflect on screen as well.”
She is all praise for producer Rahul Kumar Tewary and said, “Working with him is truly inspiring. He has a very clear creative vision and understands his characters deeply. His guidance and timely feedback encourage us to explore the depth of our roles while staying authentic to the story.”
“As an actor, that clarity helps me push my performance further and bring more honesty to Jagadhatri’s journey,” Sonakshi ended.
