Once the emotional core is clear, Sagar allows the technical aspects to fall into place naturally. “Body language, voice modulation, silences, even the way a character enters or exits a room—all of that comes from understanding the emotion first,” he shares. For the actor, acting is a balance between instinct and control, where both emotional honesty and technique go hand in hand.
Refining his craft remains an ongoing journey. Sagar reveals that stillness is something he is actively working on. “I am learning to say more with less. Listening on screen is very important because real emotions come from genuine reactions, not just dialogues,” he adds. Staying truthful, especially during close-up shots, is a goal he constantly strives for.
When it comes to choosing roles, Sagar Parekh is clear about what excites him most today. “I am deeply drawn to layered characters—those who don’t fit neatly into the hero or villain bracket,” he says. Characters that feel real, sometimes uncomfortable, and emotionally complex hold his attention.
While intense drama appeals to him, Sagar is equally interested in exploring new genres that push him beyond his comfort zone. “If a character challenges my beliefs, scares me a little, and forces me to unlearn something, that’s when I know I want to do it,” he concludes, adding that true growth always begins outside familiar territory.
