Karwa Chauth is one of the most anticipated festive occasions on Indian television, especially when it comes to the romance and emotional drama surrounding much-loved on-screen couples. In Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan and Abhira, played by Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla, continue to win hearts with their relationship and the many challenges they face together. As viewers look forward to their Karwa Chauth celebrations this year, Samridhii opens up about shooting festive sequences, Abhira’s traditional looks and the love showered on the couple by the #AbhiMaan fandom.

Talking about her experience of shooting festive sequences, Samridhii says, “Shooting festive sequences is always special because the entire set has a different energy. Everyone gets involved, and we try to make the scenes look as real as possible. There are always little moments between shots when we laugh, joke around and have fun. Sometimes, the most memorable moments are the ones that happen when the cameras are not rolling. Those are the memories that make shooting these sequences even more special.”

It feels wonderful to know that the audience celebrates these milestones with us and becomes a part of #AbhiMaan’s journey in their own way.

Speaking about filming emotional scenes with Rohit Purohit, the actress adds, “These sequences are always exciting to shoot because they bring out so many emotions between Armaan and Abhira. Their relationship has seen several ups and downs, so every romantic or emotional moment carries a different meaning. Rohit and I try to understand the scene and our characters’ emotions before performing it. It is always interesting to explore that chemistry and bring their feelings to life on screen.”

Abhira’s traditional outfits often become a talking point among viewers, particularly during festive celebrations. Sharing her thoughts on the character’s styling, Samridhii says, “I really enjoy Abhira’s traditional looks because they bring out a different side of her personality. Her styling is an important part of showing the mood of a particular scene. The creative and styling teams put in a lot of effort to make sure everything looks right on screen. I do share my thoughts whenever required, but it is a team effort. I love seeing how the final look comes together, especially during festive sequences.”

When asked what she would like to see for Abhira during such important milestones in her life, Samridhii expresses her wish for the character to find happiness and stability. “I would want Abhira to experience more happiness, stability and beautiful moments in her relationship. She has been through so much, and I feel she deserves moments where she can enjoy life without worrying about what might go wrong next. I would love to see her and Armaan understand each other better and build a relationship where love, trust and companionship become even stronger,” she says.

The #AbhiMaan fandom has consistently shown its love for Armaan and Abhira, celebrating their romantic moments and important milestones on social media. Expressing her gratitude towards the fans, Samridhii shares, “The love that fans shower on Abhira and Armaan is truly heartwarming. I love how emotionally connected they are to the characters and how they notice even the smallest details in a scene. Their edits, messages and reactions show how much these moments mean to them. It feels wonderful to know that the audience celebrates these milestones with us and becomes a part of AbhiMaan’s journey in their own way.”

As viewers eagerly await this year’s Karwa Chauth sequence, the actress has a special message for them. “I would just like to thank everyone for loving Abhira and Armaan so much. I know fans look forward to their special moments, and their excitement means a lot to us. This Karwa Chauth, viewers can look forward to emotions, romance and some interesting developments in their story. Keep watching Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and continue showering your love on AbhiMaan. I hope you enjoy watching these moments as much as we enjoy bringing them to you,” she concludes.
