Newbie Manisha Rawat, who is currently enthralling audience as Rumi in SAB TV’s Mangalam Dangalam, says she has seen herself evolve as an actor.

She shares, “Initially, I did a lot of short films in Delhi. I also did an episode of Zee TV’s show Detective Didi. I was supposed to do Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. However, the team called me and said that things are not working and hence I was out of the show. The audition of the same show was seen by the casting team of Mangalam Dangalam which was sent by one of my friends. They soon called me and everything got finalised. I never knew I will get my TV debut in a jiffy.”

She further adds, “I was working on the short film and now doing a TV show. I have seen myself evolve as an actor. When I see myself sometimes on the screen, I get very happy. It is a huge responsibility but I am living my dream too.”

Talking about a fun incident about her TV debut, she says, “When I was about to start my career, I told my elder Mama that I will debut with a SAB TV show as I want to do a comedy series. When I was approached to play Rumi, I was very happy as what I said had happened. I never gave a second thought and immediately said yes for the series. Rumi is very similar to my real life. I relate to it a lot.”

Lastly, she feels blessed to be working with talented bunch of actors on the sets. “I have a great team on the set. They are very co-operative and helpful. They all guide me as I have started my career. Manoj sir, Anita ma’am, Karanvir, Shubha ma’am, all are very supportive. I am lucky to have such an encouraging team on set.”

Good luck girl!
