Actor Sharad Kelkar recently wrapped up an outdoor shoot for his show on Zee TV, Tumm Se Tumm Tak, produced by Studio LSD in the picturesque valleys of Kashmir, and the experience has clearly left a lasting impression on him. The latest track of the show was filmed in Sonmarg, and the actor couldn’t stop praising the breathtaking beauty of the region.
Calling Sonmarg “heaven on earth”, Sharad said that shooting amidst snow-clad mountains and vast open landscapes made every moment feel special. “The natural beauty of Kashmir has a unique charm. Being surrounded by such serenity while working was truly magical,” he shared.
The trip also held strong emotional value for the actor. Sharad revealed that Kashmir has been a part of his personal memories as well. He had visited the region with his parents when he was very young, and later returned in 2021 and 2022. This time, however, the visit was extra special as it combined both work and family time. The actor brought his family along during the shoot, making the experience even more memorable.
While Sharad remained busy with his shooting schedule, his family made the most of their time in Sonmarg. They explored the area, went sightseeing, enjoyed the fresh mountain air and soaked in the calm surroundings. The actor said his family had a wonderful time and returned with beautiful memories. “It felt great to balance work and personal moments in such a peaceful place,” he added.
Food was another highlight of the trip. Sharad shared that they got a chance to relish authentic Kashmiri cuisine during their stay. He especially mentioned harissa, a traditional Kashmiri dish, which they enjoyed for breakfast. Describing it as absolutely delicious, the actor said it was a unique culinary experience for his entire family.
Adding a strong cultural flavour to the show, Sharad will be seen wearing traditional Kashmiri attire in an episode. He dons a pheran, the long robe commonly worn in Kashmir. Despite the cold weather, the cast and crew thoroughly enjoyed shooting in Kashmir.
Sharad praised the team for being supportive and well-organised throughout the outdoor schedule. He believes the Kashmir episodes will strike a chord with viewers. “I hope the audience feels peace, warmth and happiness while watching these episodes,” he said.
