Stepping into a completely new cultural and emotional zone, actor Summit Bhardwaj is capturing hearts on television as Kabir in Dangal TV‘s drama Sohni Aur Nahi Koi Honi (produced by DJ’s – A Creative Unit). Marking his first-ever tryst with a distinct Punjabi character, Summit has meticulously infused the role with high-spirited attitude, sharp mannerisms, and a striking blend of style and flamboyance.

Playing a character who dances to the tune of his own instincts required a fresh creative lens. Summit shares how he approached the layers of his on-screen persona. “This is the first time I am playing a Punjabi character—right from the attitude down to the mannerisms, I wanted to give it a completely different approach. As an actor, I have made Kabir stylish and flamboyant, but his defining core is that he thinks from his heart, not his mind. He will do anything for someone who matches his vibe, and the fact that girls fall for his unfiltered authenticity was fascinating for me to explore.”

Contrasting Kabir’s high-energy swagger is Sohni (played by Indraxi Kanjilal), whose sheer innocence and deep-rooted selflessness form the emotional anchor of the story. Speaking about the dynamic between the two leads and the overarching thematic weight of the show, Summit explains, “Sohni is innocent, and her goodness just shines through. She doesn’t want to impress anyone; she simply thinks from her heart and is constantly sacrificing for her family. Together, our story holds the ultimate power of love. We strongly believe that a show’s set and setting need to reflect that raw emotion so the audience can feel every beat of it.”

Beyond the romance and drama, Sohni Aur Nahi Koi Honi carries a profound message about humanity, connection, and the duty we owe to one another in everyday life. Summit emphasises what viewers should truly take away from Kabir’s journey. “Viewers are going to love this journey because when you like someone and feel a genuine connection with them, you shouldn’t give it a second thought—you just help that person wholeheartedly. Kabir is exactly like that; he gives his heart out to anyone he cares for. In real life too, everyone should look out for and help each other. That is the real power we want to leave our audience with.”
