Returning to the vibrant city of Chandigarh for Tu Juliet Jatt Di felt like slipping back into a familiar rhythm for Sangita Ghosh, who has been part of the Dreamiyata Entertainment show, Swaran Ghar. Sangita is presently working with Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta in their new show for Colors TV, Tu Juliet Jatt Di.
“Chandigarh has a calm steadiness that helps you settle into your character without the usual chaos of outdoor shoots,” she reflects. The warmth of the team, the relaxed pace, and the city’s comforting energy all subtly enhance her performance. Yet, she admits that being away from her daughter remains the toughest part. “That emotional tug actually shaped Gulaab for me—it gave me something very real to work with,” she says.
Her latest role as Gulaab in Tu Juliet Jatt Di is one she calls deeply honest and layered. Sangita was immediately pulled in by the authenticity of the narrative. “The story has an honesty that hits you instantly,” she says.
“Gulaab speaks her mind, reacts from the heart, and doesn’t try to look flawless—that’s exactly the kind of character I love portraying.” For her, the true complexity of Gulaab lies in motherhood. “The love that empowers her is also what complicates her life. She’s not entirely right or wrong—she’s a mother trying to understand a generation for whom love and freedom hold new meanings.”
Discussing her young co-stars, Syed Raza Ahmed and Jasmeet Kaur, Sangita is full of admiration. “They bring such clarity and sincerity to every scene. Watching them switch into character the moment the camera rolls is genuinely inspiring,” she says, appreciating the refreshing energy they bring to set.
Sangita adds, “Watching the show find its rhythm on screen has been incredibly enjoyable for all of us. The reactions that came in right after the premiere gave the entire team a fresh wave of excitement. With every new episode, the story opens up in such an engaging way—the drama, the emotion, and that relatable family madness all start taking shape.
On her personal growth she says, “Building a lasting career in television isn’t just about talent,” she explains. “It demands dedication, perseverance, and the courage to seize opportunities as they arise. Luck helps sometimes, but it’s mostly about staying focused and giving your all.”
