Sonakshi Batra, who is seen in Zee TV and Rahul Kumar Tewary’s Jagadhatri, believes the appeal of the show lies in the way it keeps its story moving instead of stretching one track for too long. According to her, the constant twists and dramatic shifts give audiences something new to look forward to, while the show’s focus on justice and the triumph of good over evil adds to its emotional connection.
“There’s no monotony in the storyline. Some dramatic shifts and changes are happening always,” she said, explaining what she feels keeps viewers invested.
She added that the show also taps into something deeply familiar to Indian audiences, the belief that truth should ultimately prevail. “What people like is, at the end of the day, our Indian culture. They like that sachai ki jeet ho burai pe. And this show delivers that,” she said.
“If there’s any person who’s doing wrong, they want justice to be served. They want to see that wrong being corrected, and I think that’s something Jagadhatri consistently gives them,” she added.
Beyond the drama and twists, Sonakshi feels the relationship between Jagadhatri and Shivay gives the show an emotional layer that audiences can relate to. She said, “What is really exceptional is that Shivay and Jagadhatri, no matter what happens, are shown as one unit. Even if nothing is going well between them, when it comes to protecting each other, they are always there. And that’s what happens exactly with family members, right?”
For her, that dynamic reflects something audiences understand from their own families. “When an outsider points a finger at your family member, you stand up in their support, no matter what is happening internally. And that is also something that people really like,” Sonakshi ended.
