Actor Lokit Phulwani, who essays the role of Avinash in Star Plus‘ show Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Studio LSD, says the upcoming track of the show will allow audiences to witness new dimensions of his character. With emotional twists, evolving relationships, and unexpected developments on the horizon, Lokit believes viewers are in for an engaging journey.

Speaking about the recent developments in the storyline, Lokit shares, “What excites me the most about this track is the growth in Avinash’s character, particularly when it comes to his bond with his family and sister. Family means everything to Avinash, and viewers will now get to see that side of him more prominently.”

He adds, “The story also has several unexpected twists and turns ahead, which will reveal different shades of Avinash’s personality. As an actor, that’s always exciting because it allows you to explore a variety of emotions and bring more depth to the character. These challenges help you grow and make the entire experience much more fulfilling.”

At a time when audience viewing habits are constantly evolving due to OTT platforms and short-form content, Lokit feels that the emotional core of the show is what keeps it relevant. “I understand that viewing habits have changed significantly in recent years. People today have shorter attention spans, are constantly on the move, and are always looking for new and engaging content. However, this fast-paced lifestyle has also created a desire for stability, emotional connection, and a sense of calm,” he says.

“Whenever you watch the show, it gives you a feeling that life is actually quite simple and beautiful—we often end up making it more complicated than it needs to be. Stories with strong emotional values and relatable family dynamics will continue to resonate with audiences in the long run,” he adds.

Addressing the constant discussion around TRPs in television, Lokit maintains that his focus remains on performance rather than numbers.
“There is always a lot of discussion around TRPs, especially in television. However, as an actor, I believe my primary responsibility is to focus on my performance and do justice to the character I am portraying,” he says.

“Rather than constantly thinking about TRPs, I prefer to concentrate on how I can improve as an artist every day and bring honesty and authenticity to my work. Ultimately, if the audience connects with the story and the performances, the numbers will follow.”

Lokit also believes that the popularity of Aparajita and Rakshit’s relationship stems from its timeless appeal. “I think the biggest reason viewers connect so strongly with Aparajita and Rakshit’s relationship is that it feels like a classic old-school love story,” he says.

“The kind of love we see between Aparajita and Rakshit reminds people of a simpler time—when love was about writing letters, waiting for a phone call, cherishing a single glance, and finding happiness in the smallest moments. There was patience, trust, and genuine affection.”

He feels that audiences see emotional security and sincerity in the couple’s bond. “When viewers watch Aparajita and Rakshit together, they see a relationship built on understanding and respect. That relatability and emotional warmth are what make their bond so special.”

Despite the rapid rise of OTT and short-form entertainment, Lokit believes television continues to enjoy a unique emotional connection with audiences. “There’s a saying in Hindi: ‘Kitna bhi bahar ka khana khalo, ghar ke dal-chawal ka maza hi alag hota hai.’ I think the same applies to entertainment today,” he says with a smile.

As for what lies ahead, the actor remains tight-lipped but promises plenty of entertainment. “Without giving away any spoilers, I can say that viewers can expect plenty of twists, emotional moments, and some surprising developments in the upcoming episodes. The story is going to take some interesting turns, and audiences will get to see different shades of the characters.”
