Actor Tanvi Shewale, who plays Roshni in the popular Star Plus show Udne Ki Aasha, produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production, has been winning attention for her nuanced portrayal as the show dives into an intense and emotionally layered track. Reflecting on the recent episodes, Tanvi shares how the gripping narrative has kept not just the audience, but even the actors, hooked.
“Honestly, I’ve really loved this recent track where Roshni’s expose drama happened drastically. Every moment, viewers were left to wonder what she would do next. Even as actors, watching our own show kept us completely engaged. The pace of the scenes became much sharper, and that automatically made everything more interesting for viewers.”
She credits the team behind the show, backed by Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production, for crafting such engaging storytelling. “The makers, creative directors, and actors have all worked towards making the episodes fast-paced and impactful. That’s what really elevates the entire viewing experience,” she adds.
Talking about her approach to Roshni, Tanvi explains, “I always try to understand her emotional truth—her past, her fears, and what drives her decisions. What unfolded is probably the worst thing that could have happened to her. It’s something she has been scared of her entire life, and that fear has finally come alive.”
Despite playing a flawed character, Tanvi believes honesty is key. “As actors, we need to trust our characters completely, no matter how right or wrong they are. We have to portray them truthfully so the audience can connect. Emotions like betrayal, heartbreak, and forgiveness are very real—they reflect our own relationships and how fragile they can be,” she shares.
When it comes to preparation, she prefers spontaneity over overthinking. “I don’t over-prepare for intense scenes. Of course, I know my lines, but I focus more on being present in the moment. I try to experience the scene as if it’s actually happening to me—that’s what brings authenticity.”
With Roshni’s journey taking dramatic turns, Tanvi believes the emotional depth will continue to resonate. “Whatever happens next will shape her life—and everyone else’s—very differently,” she signs off.
