Rudra Kaushish who has enthralled audiences as Mahinder Singh Gill in Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is happy to have bagged his first-ever role with Rajshri Productions in the newly launched Star Plus show Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao.
Rudra plays the role of Vikas, the father of the female leads, played by Sheen Dass and Anagha Bhosale.
Says Rudra, “I have always had the dream of working with Rajshri. In fact, I had been trying to be part of their shows for quite a long time now. And I am happy that my dream has come true with Dadi Amma. This is a very nice show, and will surely appeal to the audiences.”
Talking about Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’s ending, Rudra states, “Kulfi Kumar Bajewala and the role of Mahinder have been the turning points in my acting career. I will always cherish being part of this major landmark show. I thank Nilanjana Mam and 4 Lions Films for this opportunity. It was wonderful working with the actors on the show.”
Looking forward, Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao will entertain viewers with its fresh concept, is what Rudra feels.
“Vikas is similar to Mahinder in many ways. However, Vikas is father to two grown-up girls while Mahinder considered his brother Sikander as his son in Kulfi Kumar Bajewala. The best aspect of being part of this show is that I get to work with veteran actors like Mohan Joshiji and Seema Biswasji. They are a powerhouse of talent,” says the actor.
Rudra is also turning producer with his web-series for an OTT platform. His banner Rekha G Films has recently shot for the web-series titled Do Minute.
Talking about his passion for becoming Producer, “Rudra exclaims, “This has been a long-cherished goal. And I will surely work my way into producing a film in the future. This web-series is on a bold and adult subject and we have shot it for an OTT. We are looking at more work and will want to do well as Producer.”
