Women play an indispensable role in day-to-day life, serving as the backbone of families, economies, and communities. They often bring a different perspective to the problem solution, whether it may be a small issue or a big one. They are the primary teachers of the next generation. On the occasion of Women’s Day, we at IWMBuzz.com talk to eminent actors who have ticked off every bucket list possible in becoming graceful, confident and outspoken individuals. Senior actress Manasi Joshi Roy, who plays the role of Lakshmi in Zee TV’s Lakshmi Niwas, gets into an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com.

What’s a skill you think women are just naturally better at?

I think women are naturally better at literally everything, every kind of skill. A woman can do anything and everything if she sets her mind to it.

If you could have a virtual coffee with any famous woman, who would it be? What will you talk about?

Oprah Winfrey, I am a big fan of hers. And Maya Angelou. Gosh, what would we not talk about? I would not be able to stop talking!!

Who is the woman who is currently killing it in her field?

There are so many women in different fields, whether it is the Women’s cricket team, our fantastic actors in the industry, women in various fields like politics, science, and astronauts… everywhere, women are acing the game.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received from another woman?

It’s when a woman friend has told me that she knows that I will stand up for her in a room where she is not present. That’s something I have always wanted to do for every friend of mine. If you are my friend, I am with you, whether in front of you or behind your back.

Your inspiring line to young girls will be:

Above all, be kind.
