After waiting a decade, Bigg Boss Bangla finally returned with season 3 with a bang, premiering on Sunday, August 30 at 8 PM on Star Jalsha. Living up to the expectations, the show began with grandeur, introducing the charismatic host, former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, for this season, following Mithun Chakraborty and Jeet in the previous seasons. Wearing a chic kurta pajama, he looked ready for the premiere and appeared on stage in a huge crown.
Welcoming viewers, the host built excitement by generously greeting them and emphasizing that this marks his stage debut in the Bigg Boss franchise. He expressed his gratitude to all for supporting him on the field throughout his cricketing journey and asked for another chance, this time taking a new step by hosting Bigg Boss.
Soon, the host gave fans a glimpse into the Bengal Tiger-themed Bigg Boss house and the special details that symbolize Bengal. This time there are 17 beds, with 3 single beds and a separate bedroom for the captain. Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh also made a guest appearance, extending his support to Sourav with his hosting journey, and said, “You are Bigg Boss for us.”
Then the first-ever contestant, Monami Ghosh, arrived in a filmy way, showcasing her dancing skills on stage. Wearing a traditional Bengali saree, she looked mesmerizing.
Following which all the other contestants were introduced, namely Bharat Kaul, Durnibar Saha, Sohini Pal, Niranjan Mondal, Nandini Roy, Dipendu Biswas, Tanushree Roy Das, Sohini Paul, Anindya Sengupta, Sayak, Jayita, Alexandra, Srijla Guha, Jhilam Gupta, and last but not least the 16th contestant, Sonamoni Saha.
The much-awaited reality show marked its grand return with a vibrant mix of drama, entertainment, and unpredictable moments. Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, as the host, has added a dose of star power with his charismatic presence. Bringing together colorful personalities, conflicts, and engaging tasks, the show promises plenty of entertainment ahead.
Produced by Endemol Shine India (a Banijay label), it will air its regular episodes on Star Jalsha from August 31, 2026, at 9:30 PM, Monday to Sunday, and will stream on JioHotstar.
