Colors TV has consistently delivered a diverse array of fiction concepts, and after introducing unique shows like Binddii and Tu Juliet Jatt Di, the channel has struck gold once more with Seher Hone Ko Hai. Launched amidst great anticipation, this show marks the much-awaited return of Mahhi Vij and Parth Samthaan to television after many years. It sparked curiosity by presenting a story set in a Muslim backdrop, a theme that had been absent on the small screen for a while. So far, we must say, the show has lived up to its expectations and looks to build a strong connection with the audience.

Richa Yamini’s creativity has given television a rich array of concepts, and her talent for crafting captivating love stories has certainly made an impression. In her debut as a Producer, she weaves a narrative that is truly engaging. With Aarambh Entertainment and her production company, Icecream Dreams, audiences can expect to be thoroughly captivated by this new presentation.

This is the story of Kausar, a mother devoted to her daughter, Seher. Like any loving parent, Kausar strives to break down barriers so that her daughter can pursue her dreams. Her progressive mindset resonates deeply, making her character relatable on screen. The narrative unfolds against a backdrop of traditional views that see women primarily as homemakers, supporting their husbands while juggling household pressures. It emphasises the notion that women often remain in the shadows, unable to achieve true equality with men.

This thought is quite challenging to swallow, especially in today’s world. Nevertheless, we must acknowledge that this narrow-minded view of life, where women are treated as inferior, is still seen in today’s time in certain smaller towns.

Seher Hone Ko Hai is a powerful story of a mother who bravely stands up against societal expectations that often confine women to their homes, denying them the chance to lead fulfilling lives and pursue their dreams. Her dream is to see her daughter become a successful doctor.

The locations, setup, and execution all appear extremely promising. The narrative effectively contrasts two distinct worlds: one inhabited by a mother and daughter who have ambitious dreams, and the other shaped by the father and his surroundings. In this latter world, his adherence to traditional norms is justified, as he believes he’s providing his daughter with a secure and sheltered life, aiming to see her married so she can fulfil her duties as a wife. Adding complexity to the mix is the character of a highly educated man with a troubled past.

The highlight of the show is the beautiful bond between the mother and daughter. Their interactions are captivating to watch, as they truly seem to complete each other. Each character is well-developed, allowing viewers to gain a clear insight into their motivations and roles within the main storyline, whether it’s Kausar, Seher, Parvez, or Mahid.

The story also revolves around the renowned Dr Fareed, whose role is intricately woven into the main plot, linking the lives of Kausar and Seher to his own family in a relatable way. This connection adds an intriguing layer, particularly through the relationship between Fareed’s daughter, Amaal, and Kausar. As mentioned earlier, every character depicted so far has its own complexity, which adds more to the curiosity.

One of the standout highlights of the show is the strong chemistry between the lead characters, Mahid and Seher. Their presence lights up every scene they share, showcasing their natural connection. Seher’s innocence beautifully complements Mahid’s complexities, creating a harmonious blend that captivates the audience.

This show marks a strong return for Mahhi Vij, who truly shines in her role as Kausar. She brings a charming and relatable quality to the character, which is thoughtfully crafted on a solid foundation. Mahhi completely embraces her role, and it’s clear she owns it!

Rishita Kothari is a remarkable new talent poised for a good future! As Seher, she captivates audiences and consistently impresses, holding her ground alongside seasoned actors like Mahhi Vij, Vaquar Shaikh, and Parth Samthaan. Her performance truly reflects her impact as the lead of the show.

Parth Samthaan makes a strong return to television with this impressive new show. Taking on a role he has never played before, he embodies Mahid with remarkable ease and authenticity.

Apurva Agnihotri as Dr Fareed has a strong presence in the main plot and is exceptional in the character.

Vaquar Shaikh is brilliant as Parvez. Deepak Qazir as Maulana Sahab has a strong role and looks perfectly apt to play it. Falak Khan as Safiya is well-cast. Behzaad Khan, Nilofar Gesawat, Nidhi Gangta, Khalida Jaan, and Farooq Khan are well-cast in their roles. Newcomer Snehil Kukreti as Mahid’s friend looks refreshing. This again underlines that every character has been well-established and promises an arc of its own.

The title music deserves a special mention. It’s both lively and soulful, inspiring, perfectly capturing the essence of the main plot.

Seher Hone Ko Hai presents a compelling concept, with well-etched characters, stunning cinematography, and outstanding performances from its cast. It’s definitely on track to garner both impressive numbers and widespread appreciation.

We at IWMBuzz.com give Seher Hone Ko Hai 4 stars out of 5.
